The staff at Nicola Chiropractic is absolutely superb. My wife and I always look forward to our visits there. I personally had uneven shoulders and back pain from my desk job that they completely straightened out and fixed. My wife has back and neck issues that if left untreated, leave her in terrible pain. She would be lost if it weren't for her regular visits. We both love it here and wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

Physiotherapy, better known as physical therapy, is used to help the rehabilitation of patients that are suffering from impaired use of their body, due to disease, illness, or injury. Physiotherapists are trained to assess each patient’s condition, diagnose the problem, help them understand what is wrong, and then form a plan to better the patient’s physical state. Physiotherapy mostly uses physical techniques such as exercises, massages, yoga, etc. These techniques focus on building up the weak muscles, and promoting better muscle strength and mobility.

Manual Therapy is the use of physical strength to force a specific muscle or bone to move into the place the therapist wants it. Manual therapy is mostly used by massage therapists, physiotherapists, and other practicing therapists. Manual therapy shies’ away from the use of technology and focuses on the use of the therapist’s’ hands to put pressure on muscle tissue and manipulate the patient’s joints to relieve tension, stiffness, or pain from that area.

Electrical stimulation or EMS is the use of electric impulses to force a muscle contraction in the desired area. Electrical stimulation is used for many purposes, such as training, therapy, and cosmetics. EMS in rehabilitation is used for the prevention of muscle atrophy, when the muscle becomes weak and lax, from lack of use. EMS is also used for relaxing muscle spasms, increasing local blood circulation, and maintaining or increasing range of motion.

Chiropractic Manipulation is the treatment of injuries, and issues concerning the spine and nervous system. Spinal manipulation is the most common therapeutic technique that most chiropractors use by using force from placing their hands on joints, or sections of their patient’s back while their body is in a specific position. This type of therapy is designed to relieve pressure on joints, reduce inflammation, and improve nerve function.

Nutrition is the science of the nutrients, and other substances that are needed to maintain growth, reproduction, health, and disease prevention in people. A healthy diet consisting of the five major food groups, and an exercise regime plays an important part in our nutrition. Following the right nutrition plan can prevent disease, and malnutrition, we offer the best plans for all of our patients.
